Vielhauer GmbH has been supplying lubricants and specialty fluids for more than 100 years. Under the MV-Lub name we concentrate on ester transformer fluids, as Shell MIDEL Authorized Sales Partner Germany for utilities, transformer manufacturers, service companies and industry.
What makes the difference: we do not stop at delivery. We test, advise, store, deliver and fill, and we carry out complete retrofills with our own team and our own equipment.

Our own lab, specialised in ester transformer fluids
Synthetic and natural esters behave differently from mineral oil, for example in how they take up moisture and how they age. Assessing them reliably takes experience with exactly these fluids.
That is why we run our own laboratory, specialised in ester transformer fluids. We analyse according to IEC standards, so technical decisions are based on measured values.

We test the materials and approve the fluid for your application
Gaskets, hoses, coatings, insulation and components: every material that comes into contact with the fluid has to be compatible with it, especially when a transformer or a component is filled with ester for the first time.
We carry out material compatibility tests in our own laboratory. On that basis, we test and approve the fluid for your specific application.

Shell MIDEL fluids are permanently in stock with us, in all container sizes. This lets us respond quickly when a project starts at short notice or a transformer has to go back into service.

We deliver with our own logistics, usually within a few days of your order. For urgent cases there is our express delivery.
Because warehouse and transport are in our own hands, you have one contact for availability, scheduling and delivery.

Transformer filling on site
We fill transformers with Shell MIDEL fluid directly where they are installed, whether in a substation, in an industrial plant or at another site.
Fluid, equipment and team come from one source, so there are no interfaces between supplier and service provider.
Retrofilling
Advice, support and execution, with our own team and our own equipment
Replacing mineral oil with a K-class ester fluid can increase the fire safety of an existing transformer. We accompany the whole project, from the first assessment to the filled unit.
Advice
Is the transformer suitable, which fluid fits, which materials need checking? We assess your unit and plan the retrofill with you.
Support
We accompany the project, from material compatibility and scheduling through to commissioning.
Execution on site
Our own team carries out the retrofill on site, with our own machines and equipment.

Synthetic or natural ester, sealed or free-breathing transformer: we help you choose the right fluid, and we supply, test and fill all three.
Shell MIDEL fluids are manufactured by MIDEL & MIVOLT Fluids Ltd, a member of the Shell Group.
All three: K-class fluids with a fire point above 300 °C, FM and UL approved, high moisture tolerance, in service up to 400 kV.
